Joshua J. ‚??Josh‚?Ě Wingate, 32, died at 1:30 a.m. May 19, 2013, in rural Auglaize County, from injuries suffered in a pedestrian/auto accident.



He was born Aug. 16, 1980, in Lima, the son of Charles ‚??Chuck‚?Ě Wingate and Anna Gallaspie Wingate. His father survives in Jackson Center, and his mother and stepfather, Anna (Bob) Steinke, survive in Home. In February 2001, he married Jodi Hager, and she survives.



Other survivors include, three children, Abigail, Ethan and Elijah; special friend, Kristi Reedy, of Cridersville; grandmothers, Maxine (Bailey) Worthington, of Waynesfield, and Barb (Carl) Ward, of Lima; four uncles, Clem (Mary) Gallaspie , Doug Gallaspie , Richard Gallaspie and Jimmy Sanders; and father-in-law, Dennis (Linda) Hager, of Buckland.



Josh was a 1998 graduate of Apollo Joint Vocational School and Wapakoneta High School. He enjoyed playing videos games and football. He was a student in the engineering program at Rhodes State College.



Funeral services will begin at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Bayliff & Eley Funeral Home, state Route 501, Wapakoneta. Burial will be in Resthaven Memory Gardens, Moulton.



The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.



Memorials may be directed to a fund established for his children.
