Roena Marie Cain, 88, died at 5:30 p.m. May 8, 2013, at Shawnee Manor Nursing Home.
She was born Nov. 21, 1924, in Hardin County to Gail M. “Peck” and Eula Shaw Spencer, who preceded her in death. She married Leroy Cain, who preceded her in death.
Mrs. Cain had been manger of Harshbarger Apartments. She was a member of the American Legion and Fraternal Order of Orioles. She enjoyed fishing and playing euchre with family and friends. She had many friends and was the best of friends with many of them. She was a caring and loving person, who will be deeply missed.
Survivors include two sons, John (Terri) Harshbarger, and Michael Harshbarger, both of Lima; a daughter, Virginia Ford, of Okeechobee, Fla.; a brother, Dwight (Nancy) Spencer, of Bellefontaine; two sisters, Eileen (Lloyd) Seeley, of Lakeview, and Viola (Glen) Glassford, of DeGraff; and three grandchlildren, Melissa (Kevin) Deese, Kelli (Rick) Hamilton and Dustin Harshbarger.
She was preceded in death by her first two husbands, Roger Harshbarger and David DeVore; a daughter, Peggy Harshbarger; two sisters, Neva Pittman and Iola Spencer; a granddaughter, Hope Leighton; and a son-in-law, Harvey Ford.
Graveside services will begin at 11:30 a.m. Saturday in Woodlawn Cemetery. The Rev. Bryan Bucher will officiate.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
