LIMA — Ronald E. "Ron" Bitters, 48, died at 3:30 p.m. April 30, 2013, at his residence.



He was born Feb. 15, 1965, to Richard E. and Patricia L. Copeland Bitters. His father preceded him in death and his mother survives in Wapakoneta.



Mr. Bitters attended First Church of the Nazarene and was a former member of St. Luke Lutheran Church. He graduated from Delphos Jefferson High School in 1983. He was a member of the Boy Scouts, the Army and the Army National Guard. He was an avid camper.



Survivors also include two daughters, Crystal A. Bitters, of Wapakoneta, and Kassandra Shulaw, of Florida; a granddaughter, Ravyn Bitters, of Wapakoneta; a sister, Diana L. Leffler, of Lima; three brothers, Richard E. (Teressa) Bitters, of DeGraff, Russell E. (Beverly) Bitters, of Delphos, and Rex E. Bitters, of Lima; and several nieces and nephews.



He was preceded in death by a sister-in-law, Julie Bitters.



Services will begin at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Chiles-Laman Funeral & Cremation Services, Shawnee Chapel. Pastor Michael Hughes will officiate. Burial will be in Walnut Hill Cemetery, New Hampshire.



Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.



Instead of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family.
