LIMA
Thomas G. Ryan, 81, of Columbus, formerly of Lima, died Feb. 24, 2013.
He was born in Lima the son of Leo and Lillian Ryan.
He had a longtime career as a TV personality and newscaster. Tom was co-operator of Ryan Market, Lima, co-anchor on Easter Straker program and newsman on WLIO-TV, Lima, and then was a news anchor in central Ohio for more than 40 years.
Survived by wife, Joan Harrison Ryan; sons, Dennis (Judy) and Thomas (Barbie) Ryan; grandchildren, Kate (Chris) Fay, Ben, Dustin, Scott and Lauren Ryan; great-grandchildren, Aiden and Cole Ryan; brother, Bob Ryan; and nieces and nephews.
Friends may call Thursday from 4 to 7 p.m. at Egan-Ryan Funeral Home Northwest Chapel, 4661 Kenny Rd., Columbus, and one hour prior to the Funeral Mass which will be Friday at 11 a.m. at St. Andrew Catholic Church, 1899 McCoy Rd. A private burial will be held.
