Boy critically injured in farm accident
Comments 0 | Recommend 0VAN WERT -- A farm accident Sunday afternoon left a Van Wert boy critically injured.
Tyler Priest was run over by a tractor just before 6 p.m. Sunday. The 13-year old boy was attempting to get onto the tractor while it was moving when he slipped and fell.
The accident took place on the corner of county Road 118 and Rader Road in Van Wert County.
A 13-year-old boy was driving the tractor at the time of the incident. his father was walking beside the tractor baling hay with 23-year-old Shane Wallace.
After Priest fell, Wallace was the first to respond by running to the truck to retrieve his cell phone and call 911.
Priest was airlifted to Parkview Hospital in Fort Wayne, Ind., where a hospital spokeswoman said he was in critical condition Tuesday evening.
