Comments 0 | Recommend 0DELPHOS - A wooden cross was set ablaze early Thursday morning in the lawn of a home in which two women reside.
Delphos Police were not releasing many details about the incident late Thursday. However, in a written statement, police officials said the cross was placed in a yard and set afire between midnight and 7 a.m. Thursday in the 200 block of East Sixth St., Delphos, at a home in which a black woman and a white woman reside.
Police were looking for the person or people who placed the cross there and set it ablaze.
Reports indicated the family members of the women called the department, after learning of the incident, and said the women would be coming to the department later in the day Thursday to file the report.
The detective handling the case, Dale Metzger, declined comment Thursday night but said further information would be available this morning.
He and other investigators are asking anyone with information to call the Police Department at 419-692-4015.
