McCOMB -- A McComb couple were injured in a two-vehicle accident Thursday afternoon, according to the Hancock County Sheriff's Office.

Dustin Smith, 21, of Hamler, was driving west on township Road 97 at about 12:45 p.m. He stopped at a stop sign at state Route 235, then pulled out into the intersection and was struck by a vehicle driven by Eva Sydnes, 37, of McComb.

She and her husband, Brad Sydnes, 40, were taken to Blanchard Valley Hospital. Eva Sydnes was treated, then released from the hospital. Officials there said they had no record of Brad Sydnes.

Smith was cited for failing to yield from a stop sign.
