KETTERING — The Marion Local boys basketball team fell short of its first trip to the state final four in 10 years as the Flyers lost 62-44 to Tri-Village on Friday night at Fairmont High School.


After leading by just one point at halftime, 26-25, Tri-Village outscored Marion Local 22-6 in the fourth quarter to secure the regional final victory.


Damion Cook led Tri-Village with a game-high 24 points in the victory. Colton Linkous scored 19.


Dustin Rethman led Marion Local with 13 points. Adam Bertke scored 11, and Ryan Bruns had 10.


Tri-Village last made the state final four in 1991.
