New Knoxville’s Haley Horstman, a 5-foot, 7-inch senior guard, has been named first-team Division IV All-Ohio in girls basketball by The Associated Press.
Horstman has been the Midwest Athletic Conference Player of the Year the last three seasons and was this year’s All-Northwest Ohio Division IV Player of the Year. She will attend the University of Findlay after graduation.
Four other area players were on the Division IV team. Continental’s Paige Ordway received special mention and Crestview’s Lindsey Motycka, Leipsic’s Amber Gerdeman and Marion Local’s Brooke Winner received honorable mention.
In Division III, Ottawa-Glandorf’s Kristen Miller received honorable mention.
Reedsville Eastern’s Jenna Burdette and Fort Loramie’s Darian Rose were Division IV Players of the Year. In Division III, Alexa Hart of Columbus Africentric and Terra Stapleton of Proctorville Fairland were the Players of the Year.
