Lima board approves staff moves
Comments 0 | Recommend 0LIMA -- The Lima school board approved several staff changes Thursday, including moving a long-time elementary school principal to a middle school.
Freedom Elementary School Principal Jean Snyder will become principal at Lima South Middle School, replacing Mitch Black, who retired. Snyder's replacement had not been decided yet, said assistant Superintendent Jill Ackerman.
Serving as assistant principal at South will be Scott Gephart, who has been assistant principal at the Lima Senior High Performance Based School. The current South assistant, Greg Huelskamp, will become the Lima Senior High Progressive Academy assistant.
Progressive Academy Principal Judy Shisler is moving to the central office to become special-education supervisor. She replaces Nancy Gialanella, who retired. Shisler's position at the high school had not been filled yet. The vacant positions would be filled in the next few weeks, Ackerman said.
