Eastown Road should reopen by Thanksgiving

Comments 0 | Recommend 0

The section of Eastown Road closed since mid-summer should be reopened in time for the holidays.

Chief Deputy Engineer Mark Stockman said Thursday morning he expects to see Eastown Road opened to traffic by Thanksgiving. The hope is to keep the road open through the winter and shut it down again in the spring to continue the expansion project.

Eastown Road has been closed between Allentown and Cable roads since June as part of a three-stage program to widen and extend the increasingly busy route.
