Voter group sponsors Republican caucus

In a dry run to prepare for the March 6 primary, the Van Wert County Heart Land Patriots will sponsor a Republican presidential caucus at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday in the Trinity Friends Youth Room of the Family Life Center, 605 N. Franklin St., Van Wert.
The Patriots invite all area voters to participate in the nonbinding caucus.
Voters may call the Rev. Keith Stoller at 419-968-2869 to register for the opportunity to speak on behalf of their favorite among the four remaining Republican presidential candidates, Newt Gingrich, Ron Paul, Mitt Romney and Rick Santorum.
Ballots will be distributed, votes will be counted and the results reported.
The Heart Land Patriots describe themselves as a nonprofit educational organization dedicated to the restoration of constitutionally limited government, conservative fiscal responsibility and freedom of religious pursuits for all Americans.
