Police calls for Friday, July 11

Police calls as of 10:15 a.m. July 11 from Allen County Sheriff's Office and the Lima Police Department:

100 block of Wood Street, Lafayette - Late Thursday night, a man reported finding an old military explosive device in a box while cleaning out his garage.

420 E. Main St., Beaverdam - A man reported early Thursday morning that an individual struck him in the face for no reason while he was at the Flying J Travel Plaza.

1700 block of North West Street, Lima - On Wednesday evening, a man reported that an individual made threats to have him killed.

800 block of East Kibby Street, Lima - Early Friday morning, a 52-year-old woman reported someone stole a bicycle.

100 block of East Murphy Street, Lima - A 17-year-old girl reported on Wednesday night that someone drove past and shot a bb gun at her car.

927 N. Cable Road, Lima - An employee at Rays Supermarket reported on Thursday that two women bought groceries with stolen checks.

800 block of South Metcalf Street, Lima - On Thursday evening, a concerned citizen reported seeing marijuana plants growing in a flower bed near a garage. The resident of the house, a 57-year-old woman, told police she did not know where the plants came from.

Cedar Street and Fifth Street, Lima - A 22-year-old woman reported on Thursday night that an unknown woman threatened her when she refused to give out free ice cream from her ice cream truck.
