Putnam County Common Pleas Court


Dispositions/July 22


Gerald J. Okuley Jr., 41, 12508 Road G, Ottawa, pleaded guilty to domestic violence. He faces up to 18 months in prison and $5,000 in fines. Bond was continued while a pre-sentence investigation is conducted with sentencing set for 10 a.m. Aug. 28. Charges of kidnapping, felonious assault, felonies, and attempt, and driving under OVI suspension, misdemeanors, were dismissed.


Dispositions/July 24


Jason T. Adams, 31, 524 W. Lima St., Findlay, was sentenced to eight years in prison for rape. He was given credit for 71 days served. Jeffrey A. Geckle, 35, 11606 Road E, Leipsic, was granted judicial release and ordered to complete the WORTH Center. He was fined $10,000, pay restitution of $2,650 and his driver’s license was suspended until May 20, 2014.


Kelly J. Wilson, 28, P O Box 350, Tiffin, was sentenced to three years in prison for violating the terms of supervision. The violations include failing a urine test on July 12, by testing positive for MOP opiates and heroin use. She was given credit for 424 days served and must pay restitution of $5,300. She was originally convicted of burglary.


Bryant A. Rose, 27, 751 E. Fourth St., Lima, pleaded guilty to trafficking in drugs (cocaine). He faces up to 12 months in prison, $2,500 in fines and six-months to five-years license suspension. Bond was continued while a pre-sentence investigation is conducted with sentencing set for 2 p.m. Aug. 29.


Tracy M. Dalton, 46, 221 W. Jackson St., Apt. B, Paulding, pleaded guilty to attempt trafficking in drugs, a misdemeanor. She faces up to six months in jail and $1,000 in fines. Bond was continued while a pre sentence investigation is conducted with sentencing set for 2:30 p.m. Sept. 4.


Dispositions/July 25


Michael A. Fay, 17, Wood County Juvenile Detention Center, was scheduled a jury trial for 9 a.m. Nov. 4. He is charged with two counts aggravated murder, two counts abuse of a corpse, tampering with evidence and grand theft in connection to the May 9 deaths of Blake and Blaine Romes. Another pre-trial was scheduled for 2 p.m. Sept. 10.


The Huntington National Bank, Columbus, was granted judgment against Country Builders Supply and Construction, Inc., Columbus Grove, in the amount of $213,965.14, plus interest of $3,114.46, plus late fees of $557.14, plus interest and costs. Tiffany A. Griffith, Columbus Grove, was granted a divorce from Bradley J. Griffith, Lima. They were married in Columbus Grove and have three children.

Dispositions/July 18 Nathan R. Kawa, 24, 215 Blackburn, Lima, pleaded no contest to an amended charge of persistent disorderly conduct and was found guilty. Sentence: 30 days jail, $250 fine, with 29 days jail suspended. He must complete an assessment at Pathways Counseling Center and have no contact with victim for two years.


Dispositions/July 22


Aaron M. Korte, 25, 112 Robinson Ave., Columbus Grove, pleaded guilty to OVI. Sentence: 180 days jail, $1,000 fine, three-year license suspension, with 90 days jail suspended and complete assessment at Pathways Counseling Center or equivalent provider. A charge of driving under OVI suspension was dismissed.
