Putnam County Common Pleas Court Dispositions/July 15


Anthony G. Kohnen, 56, 557 W. Ashton Ave., Lima, was sentenced to 25 days jail for trafficking in drugs (cocaine). He was given credit for eight days served and his license was suspended for six months. He was ordered to pay $550 restitution to the MAN unit and was fined $500. He was originally charged with trafficking in cocaine and permitting drug abuse.


Dispositions/July 16


Kevin Moore Jr., 20, 203 N. Sixth St., Continental, was sentenced to 180 days in jail for attempt discharge of firearm. He was given credit for 137 days served.and was placed on three years community control. He must undergo alcohol and drug use monitoring.


Dispositions/July 17


Jennifer Craig, 35, 512 Wayne St., Columbus Grove, was sentenced to 180 days jail for falsification, a misdemeanor. All but five days of the jail sentence was suspended and she was placed on two years community control. She was originally indicted on perjury, a felony.


Decoda A. Blake, 25, 24654 Bowman Road, Defiance, pleaded guilty to failure to comply with order of police officer. He faces up to 36 months in prison and $10,000 in fines. Bond was continued while a pre-sentence investigation is conducted with sentencing set for 2 p.m. Aug. 7.


John L. McKinsey, 50, 221 W. Jackson St., Apt. B, Paulding, pleaded guilty to trafficking in drugs and permitting drug abuse. He faces up to 24 months in prison and $5,000 in fines and 12 months to 10 years license suspension. Bond was revoked while a pre-sentence investigation is conducted with sentencing set for 1 p.m. Aug. 14. Zachary D. Smith, 20, 17822 Township Road 147, Forest, pleaded no contest to assault, a misdemeanor. He faces up to six months in jail and $1,000 in fines. Bond was continued while a pre-sentence investigation is conducted with sentencing set for 11 a.m. Aug. 12. He was originally charged with felonious assault, a felony.


Markus D. Kimmell, 18, 16745 State Route 103, Mount Blanchard, pleaded no contest to assault, a misdemeanor. He faces up to six months in jail and $1,000 in fines. Bond was continued while a pre-sentence investigation is conducted with sentencing set for 2:30 p.m. Aug. 7. He was originally charged with felonious assault, a felony.


Thomas A. Verhoff, 56, 17887 State Route 694, Cloverdale, pleaded guilty to possession of marijuana. He faces up to 12 months in prison and $2,500 in fines and six months to five years license suspension. Bond was continued while a pre-sentence investigation is conducted with sentencing set for 9 a.m. Aug. 28. He was originally charged with illegally manufacturing and possession of drugs.

Billie D. Thompson II, 30, 657 N. West St., Lima, pleaded guilty to first-offense OVI. Sentence: Six points, 180 days jail, $750 fine, one-year license suspension, with 177 days jail and $375 suspended and credit for three days jail for completion of DIP program.
