Gas prices steady this morning

LIMA - Most consumers won't notice a difference in gas prices today, as they dropped just half a cent since Monday morning.

For that matter, they won't notice much of a difference since last month, as the average price of a gallon of unleaded regular gasoline on the first day of July is $3.959, just 1.1 cents higher than the price at the beginning of June.

They'd certainly notice the difference since May 1, though, as consumers were paying just $3.646 for a gallon of gasoline at the beginning of May.

The lowest prices recorded today came in Delphos, where the two Speedway stations reported $3.829 a gallon gasoline. Today's high of $3.999 came courtesy of most of the stations in Putnam County.
