All across town evidence of Monday evening's powerful storm was evident. Power lines dangled precariously low. Large trees were felled in numerous spots across town.

At least one person was injured in the storm that rolled through after 6 p.m. Monday. A man walking near Lima First Church of the Nazarene at Elm and West streets was injured when the brick façade on the church gave way and collapsed.
Assistant Chief Greg Kirkendall of the Lima Fire Department said the department was called to the scene at 6:26 p.m. Lima Allen County Paramedics took the man to St. Rita's Medical Center after extricating him from under the bricks.
Linda Chartrand, spokeswoman for St. Rita's Medical Center, declined to provide any information, including the man's name and condition, citing patient privacy rules.
The rough weather was responsible for thousands of electric customers remaining without power today.
Shelly Clark, spokeswoman for AEP Ohio, said it could be 9 p.m. tomorrow night before power is restored to all customers.
As of early afternoon, AEP Ohio was still reporting more than 5,000 customers across Allen County were without power. At the peak, more than 7,800 customers were without power across the county, Clark said.
The electric utility also reported 331 customers still out of power in Putnam County. Clark said the company was aiming to have power restored there by this evening.
