Police stun man outside bar

Published Jan. 27, 2009

CELINA -- Celina police officers used a stun gun to subdue a man who they said tried to continue a bar fight Sunday night after police arrived to control the fight.

Police said Derick L. Gregory, 35, of Celina, was shocked outside Club Oasis after trying three times to push past officers.

He was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct.

Austin Soloman, 21, of St. Marys, was also charged with disorderly conduct Sunday night.

A third Celina man, 35-year-old Jason Dross, was charged with disorderly conduct Monday after police reviewed video from a cruiser's camera.

Police said Gregory and Dross were trying to confront Soloman after he knocked Dross' wife to the ground.

A woman watching melee lost the tip of her ring finger when the bar's door slammed shut on it. She was taken to Joint Township District Memorial Hospital.
