Putnam students do well on OGT
Comments 0 | Recommend 0LIMA - Three Putnam County schools ranked in the top 20 school districts in the state in the percentage of sophomores to pass all five sections of the Ohio Graduation Test.
Pandora-Gilboa, with 95.5 percent passing all sections, ranked No. 3, directly followed by Miller City-New Cleveland schools with 94.9 percent. Kalida finished 17th with 90 percent passing.
Sophomores took the state test for the first time in March but have multiple chances to take it through their senior years. Students must pass all sections to graduate.
While it is not included in the state ranking, Lima Central Catholic High School had 90 percent of sophomores passing all sections.
Minster, ranked 21st, saw 89.2 percent pass, the highest in Auglaize County. The highest in Allen County wax Bluffton schools, ranked 47th, with 86.2 percent.
