Mental health levy passes in Putnam County

OTTAWA — Mental health services will continue in Putnam County, thanks to a 0.3 mill renewal levy approved by voters today.
Voters signed off on the five-year levy by a 60.3 percent to 39.7 percent margin. The levy raises $170,000 per year for the Putnam County Mental Health, Alcohol and Drug Addiction Recovery Board.
The board struggled recently as demand increased dramatically in the past 30 years.
