Food producers get help with marketing

Toledo — Ohio food producers looking to sell through different marketing channels can attend a MarketReady training program Feb. 23 at the Center for Innovative Food Technology, 5555 Airport Highway, Suite 100, Toledo.

The daylong workshop will teach what is required to sell to grocers, restaurants, consumers and other wholesale buyers. Local producers, wholesalers and buyers will participate on a panel to provide specific insight.

The cost is $75 per person and $25 for each additional person from the same business, which includes materials, lunch and morning refreshments. For information or to register, call 419-535-6000, Ext. 108, or email rsvp@ciftinnovation.org.

The MarketReady program was developed by the University of Kentucky, piloted in cooperation with Ohio State University Extension and the Ohio Direct Marketing Team.
