WAUSEON - The Fulton County office of Ohio State University Extension will be offering a special, “Take Charge of Your Diabetes,” during the holidays program on Monday, Nov. 18 from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the Robert Fulton Agriculture Center conference room, 8770 State Route 108, north of Wauseon.

Those with diabetes or pre-diabetes and their family members or caretakers are encouraged to attend and learn how to stay healthy during the holidays. Preparing nutritious foods that taste good can be difficult at any time of the year. It is no wonder that the holidays present special challenges for individuals with diabetes.

Melissa Welker, OSU Extension Educator, Family and Consumer Sciences, will provide you with tips for managing your diabetes during the holidays. You will learn how to prepare favorite holiday foods that are both nutritious and delicious. Cooking demonstrations and samples will be provided.
