LIMA — The Mercedes 190SL is also known as the “Baby Merc” or the “Little Brother” to the 300 SL. The Mercedes-Benz 190SL is a two-door automobile with an optional removable hardtop produced by Mercedes-Benz between May of 1955 and February of 1963. These cars were guaranteed to sell to car enthusiasts who couldn’t afford the sporty Mercedes Gullwing. The 190 SL was arguably pretty, but was more cute than sexy. Production of the 190SL ended in February of 1963. The production total for the Mercedes 190 SL was 25,881 cars and about 10,000 of those cars were sold in the United States.
Ted Miller, of Lima, brought his 1960 Mercedes 190SL to The Lima News’ Real Wheels Cruise-In. Miller’s Mercedes is sure to get heads turning while motoring down the road in the summer time.
