LIMA — A 17-year-old was shot over the weekend during a shooting which someone fired 12-15 bullets into a home.
The teenager was shot in the upper torso and taken to Lima Memorial Hospital. The wound was not life threatening, and the juvenile was treated and released Sunday, Allen County Sheriff Sam Crish reported. Investigators are not releasing the name of the teenager yet, Crish said.
The shooter or shooters remain unknown, and the matter remains under investigation, Crish said. Authorities do not have a motive, Crish said.
The shooting was reported at 2:04 a.m. Sunday at a home at 200 N. Roberts St., which is near Market Street. The majority of the bullets were fired at the front door or the area around that door, Crish said.
There were eight juveniles and several adults inside the home at the time of the shooting, Crish said.
Two other people inside the home also were treated at the hospital for injuries but not gunshots, Crish said.
