LIMA — The Lima/Allen County Chamber of Commerce, Better Business Bureau of Lima and Marimor Industries, Inc. are partnering to offer a free day of shredding from 7:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Friday.
The event is open to any business or individuals that would like to have documents destroyed in a safe and confidential manner. Those wanting to participate can bring paper documents to one of two drop off locations: Veterans Memorial Civic Center (Main Street entrance side), 7 Town Square; and Marimor Industries, Inc., 2450 Ada Road. Larger amounts or skidded materials should be delivered to Marimor Industries, Inc.
Materials suitable for shredding include all recyclable paper, cardboard, documents containing employee information, medical information, insurance information, customer/patient information, obsolete records/contracts and billing/sales information. X-rays, microfilm, plastic or sticky labels are not permitted.
Marimor Industries, Inc. is a non-profit corporation that provides training and employment to individuals with developmental disabilities in Allen County. The training is accomplished by securing subcontract work with business and industry.
