LIMA — Among a busy agenda, Lima City Council plans to honor three city officials at its meeting Monday.
Paige Townsend, Kurt Neeper and Gene Reaman will all be honored with a resolution of appreciation.
Townsend served as 7th Ward councilor for four four-year terms. She had been a teacher at Lima Senior for eight years and also recently retired from Lima Allen County Council on Community Affairs after 18 years of service.
Neeper served one term as 1st Ward councilor and was chairman of the public works committee.
Reaman was elected as city auditor in 1997 and served four elected terms in that position until his retirement at the end of 2013.
The council will vote on the issuance of and the sale of several notes for items to be purchased in 2014. Items include $660,000 for the construction of the Westminster Water Line Project, $4.65 million for sanitary sewer lift stations, $14,850 for a plow truck, $2.1 million for renovations at the Lima Hall of Justice, $450,000 for a fire truck, $700,000 for expanding the parking lot at the utility customer service building, $213,ooo for a generator for the fire station and $220,000 for an ambulance.
The council also plans to approve contracts for contracted work for 2014.
Council will vote on two resolutions of support in 2014 for the annual Square and Toast to the City.
