LIMA — The grand jury indicted a man Thursday on numerous felony charges connected to two robberies at a local pharmacy including one which he allegedly struck a 67-year-old woman in the head with a hammer.


Keith Maidon, 46, of 717 S. Atlantic Ave., was charged with two counts of aggravated robbery, two counts of felonious assault and one count of robbery.


Maidon was arrested Dec. 4 in connection with the two robberies at the CVS Pharmacy at 900 Bellefontaine Ave. The second robbery was a day before his arrest when he allegedly approached the 67-year-old woman in the parking lot and tried to steal her purse.


The robber struck her in the head several times with a hammer but was unable to get her purse and ran from the area.


Employees from CVS intervened and stopped the attack, police reported.


The other robbery happened Nov. 7 when a man entered the pharmacy and demanded money. The robber said he had a gun and obtained an undisclosed amount of cash before fleeing the business, police reported.


The Allen County grand jury returned 17 other public indictments this week. Those indicted and their charges are:


Sheldon E. Williams, 23, of 1424 S. Union St., carrying concealed weapon, improper handling firearms in a motor vehicle and having weapons under disability.


Lamar A. Fitzgerald, 23, of 138 W. 9th St., robbery.


Tremayne J. Chandler, 30, of 1600 S. Union St., robbery.


Michael W. Lewis, 32, of 724 ½ S. Metcalf St., domestic violence.


Shlenda C. Allen, 38, of Monroe, Mich., improperly discharging firearm at or into habitation with firearm specification.


Austin C. Gilroy, of 1876 Sellers Road, Cridersville, domestic violence.


Lisa M. Duncan, 44, of 1122 Hughes Ave., grand theft.


Brad W. Dietrich Sr., 48, of 432 E. McKibben St., two counts of breaking and entering, theft and two counts of possession of criminal tools.


Dennis E. Reed, 43, of 2540 Oak Creek Lane, receiving stolen property.


Anthony D. Allen, 54, of Fort Wayne, failure to comply with order or signal of police officer, receiving stolen property, two counts of breaking and entering, two counts of theft, attempted safecracking and possession of criminal tools.


Vaughn L. McAfee, 59, of Fort Wayne, breaking and entering, two counts of theft, attempted safe cracking, receiving stolen property and possession of criminal tools.


Joel Kirchner, 28, of 5180 Amherst Road, Cridersville, assault on a peace officer.


Paul T. Connors, 41, of 102 S. Water St., Wapakoneta, receiving stolen property.


Carolyn M. Maidon, 33, of 417 S. Roberts Ave., four counts of theft of credit card and one count of theft of dangerous drug.


Bradley B. Day, 35, of 1215 N. Main St., Delphos, domestic violence.


Bethany G. Chaney, 22, of 4870 E. State Road, four counts of theft and misuse of credit card.


Carolyn M. Maidon, 22, of 321 McPheron Ave., three counts of receiving stolen property, one count of misuse of credit card and theft.
