The City of Galion’s codified ordinances have been updated.
During a recent City Council meeting, Law Director Thomas Palmer made the announcement. He explained the ordinances received a large-scale revision to reflect the statutory form of government and to remove references to the now abolished City Charter.
Recently created sections like the revised sign ordinance were added, and the ordinances were reviewed by department heads to check for necessary updates.
The updated version of the ordinances was certified on Feb. 11, 2014 by Mayor Tom O’Leary and Clerk of Council Julie Bell.
They are available online through the City of Galion website, ci.galion.oh.us or by clicking here. The third party site that the ordinances are accessed through has a new search function to make it easier to look up specific sections of the code.
