HANCOCK COUNTY — A two-vehicle accident in Jackson Township sent four to the hospital Friday.

At 3:51 p.m. Nicholas Hale, 47, of Lima, was driving a 2002 Peterbilt truck northbound on U.S. 68 north of township Road 45. He was driving behind Jessica Koperski, 29, of Perrysburg, who was driving a 2003 Pontiac Montana. Hale attempted to pass Koperski and was struck when Koperski slowed and attempted to turn left into a private drive.

Koperski and her passengers, Luke Roby, 15, Teila Phillips, 27, and William Koperski, 1, all of Bellefontaine, were transported to Blanchard Valley Regional Health Center, where their medical status is currently unknown.

The Hancock County Sheriff’s Office is handling the investigation, with the Arlington Fire Department, Appleseed EMS, Hanco EMS and Lowery Towing all assisting at the scene.
