LIMA — A fundraiser for the Samaritan House will be held Aug. 13 to help the shelter that serves homeless or abused women and children.
The event titled “Raisin’ Bread” will help celebrate the facility’s 27th anniversary.
The event is scheduled in the banquet room of the City Club at 144 S. Main St., beginning at 5:30 p.m. A silent auction will be held until 8 p.m.
Food will be provided by Panera Bread.
The event will feature dueling pianos as entertainment with pianists from Aces Wild to entertain people with their favorite songs from the 1960s to today.
Local television news personality Jeff Fitzgerald will serve as the master of ceremonies.
People are encouraged to bring their dancing shoes.
While the Samaritan House has been in the community for 27 years serving many people, it remains a facility many are unaware of or have little knowledge of how it helps people.
People are urged to join the celebration to learn more about the many services the facility provides homeless or abused women and children.
Reservations for the event may be made by calling the Samaritan House at 419-222-4663. The cost is $25 per person and all money raised will benefit the programs at the Samaritan House.
