LIMA — Two new businesses are under construction on Eastown Road and will open next year.
Vein Care Center is under construction on Eastown, just south of Elm Street, and will open in the summer of 2014. Also, 4 Seasons Car Wash is under construction on Eastown, just south of Allentown Road, and will open in February.
Vein Care Center is moving its Lima office from a rented space on Fort Amanda Road to a new, owned 6,000-square-foot building, said Dr. Manu B. Aggarwal, with the practice.
“Owning the facility will be awesome. You get to build equity when you own something, and the space will be designed with what we do for our patients in mind. It won't be a typical medical office. It won't be a hospital setting,” Aggarwal said. “We've outgrown our space, and we wanted better visibility. We needed more space and we will be adding services and employees.”
The property is large enough to include two other similar sized buildings on it, Aggarwal said, adding that she hopes her building will contribute to the existing medical facilities on Eastown Road and spur other development there. Vein Care Center also operates a satellite office in Celina.
Also under construction farther north on Eastown is a new car wash, 4 Seasons Express Car Wash, co-owner Kyle Benroth said. Benroth, his brother and father also own the 4 Seasons Car Wash on Robb Avenue. The new location will share some things as the first, such as propane tank refills and purified drinking water for sale.
However, the new location will include a conveyor to take vehicles through, free vacuums and something new to the Lima area: a pet wash station.
Customers can choose rinse, shampoo, and flea and tick treatment. They can also use a blow dryer. The station is a kind of waist-high bathtub in which a pet is secured.
“We hope there is a market for it,” Benroth said.
Construction is underway, and weather permitting, the new car wash will be open in early February.
