“The Bronze” star Melissa Rauch rolled up to Hastee Tastee on Cleveland Avenue on Monday with a camera crew.

She could be seen placing an order at the window in a red, white, and blue sports jumpsuit before climbing into an old Buick Century. Its license plate read “BRONZED.”

That’s likely the last the independent comedy will shoot this week in Amherst, according to folks at city hall.

Dispatchers said the crew already shot a sequence involving a mailbox across the street from the North Lake Street police station. Other filming is happening at an Elyria hotel.

The four-week shoot, which started June 29, is expected to return to town for scenes up and down Park Avenue. Locations include Quarry Cafe and Park Lanes, according to Amherst safety-service director Mark Costilow.

Producers have been very tight with information, asking that no photos be taken at their sets. But they’re not turning away onlookers who show up to watch.

“The Bronze” is the story of a gymnast who returns to small-town life after earning third place on the world stage.
