All hail Oscar Woods and Karen Farmer as Lorain County Fair senior citizen royalty.
The two beat out Anne Paul, Lois Hurrell, Carole Koesar, Earnest Hawkins, Robert Powers, and Curtis Pilgrim for their titles on Thursday.
Woods, 80, was nominated by the Oberlin Manor Apartments. He is an Elyria High School graduate and a veteran of the U.S. Air force.
The king also worked for Pepsi-Cola Bottling Co. and spent time as a driver for the Lorain County Drug and Alcohol Abuse Services.
His best advice to anyone is to stay way from drugs.
Farmer, 65, was nominated by the Lorain County Office on Aging Meals on Wheels program.
The retired teacher said she loved her time with students but loves retirement even more as she volunteers on a daily basis.
The queen said she loves Ohio and wouldn’t want to live any where else.
She told the judges she spent many weeks of her life at the fair and used to show horses.
Her advice to everyone: “Make the most of today.”
