• Aug. 6 at 6:45 p.m.: Police looked into a theft complaint at Certified Gas Station on West Herrick Avenue after two males reportedly walked out with a quart of oil. There were no charges.

• Aug. 8 at 3 p.m.: Police investigated an assault complaint at Weber Health Care on East Herrick Avenue. According to officers, a resident started to seize as an aide was helping to dress him. Police said the aide was not to believe to be at fault even though he broke company policy and attempted to lift the man by himself.

• Aug. 9 at 7:40 p.m.: Officers broke up a fight between two women on Union Street. One woman was taken to Mercy Allen Hospital for an injured arm. The women refused to press charges.

• Aug. 10 at 1:30 a.m.: A 15-year-old was taken to University Hospitals Elyria Medical Center emergency room for evaluation after his mother called police complaining he’d run away. Officers said they found the boy at his friend’s house smelling of marijuana. The teen was disrespectful to both officers and his mother before being taken to the hospital, a report said.

• Aug. 10 at 10:26 p.m.: An officer found a tin with a syringe, teaspoon with white powder residue, a plastic container, and a blue plastic grocery bag.

• Aug. 11 at 4:38 p.m.: Jason Rahrig, 43, of Wellington was charged with disorderly conduct by intoxication. Rahrig was transported to Mercy Allen Hospital in Lorain. According to police, he could not stand and speech was slurred.

• Aug. 12 at 7:22 a.m.: Police looked into a broken window on North Main Street. The building’s tenant said the window was broken because of structural damage.

• Aug. 12 at 6:47 p.m.: Police looked into a breaking-and-entering complaint on Prospect Street. According to a report, it only appeared that someone attempted to get into a shed and garage but did not gain entry. There were no charges.

• Aug. 13 at 11:31 p.m.: A woman told police her daughter was illegally using the narcotic Xanax. There were no charges.

• Aug. 14 at 6:41 p.m.: Police were called to assist a Ohio State Highway Patrol trooper to inspect a vehicle at the corner of North Main and Vine streets. Drug paraphernalia and a small amount of suspected heroin were found in the car. Charges are pending.

• Aug. 14 at 9:15 p.m.: Police were called to assist Findley State Park Rangers and the Ohio State Highway Patrol for a complaint of a camper refusing to leave the park. According to a police report, the man’s friend claimed the camper was suicidal. Officers found the man inside his camper with a loaded gun.

• Aug. 15 at 7:04 a.m.: Police looked into a car accident at Whilreaway Corporation on Shiloh Avenue. There were no charges.

• Aug. 18 at 9:53 a.m.: Police looked into a stolen identity complaint. There were no charges.

• Aug. 18 at 8:20 p.m.: Police looked into a domestic violence complaint on East Herrick Avenue. There were no charges.
