Records were broken at the annual Gary Jordan Cheese Festival Run in Wellington.


Not only did the 205 runners mark the largest participation record, but Joe Davis of Galion set a new record for the 5K with a time of 15:50:41.


Davis came in first as Brett Cortelletti, Ontario, Ohio, came in second with a time of 16:12:78. Jake Lemon of Oak Harbor was third with his time of 17:46:84.


Records were also broken in the women’s category.


Andrew McArdele of Wellington is the new record-holder in her division with a time of 18:23:72.


Second was Emily Hess of Ashland with a time of 20:10:85. She narrowly beat out Abby Magner of North Royalton who finished one second later at 20:11:85.


The first place winner in the men’s 10K was Ray Armstrong of Elyria with a time of 34:22:53. Second was Ryan Harrison of Orrville with a time of 35:15:28. Ryan McCartney of Cleveland finished third with a time of 37:04:01.


Beth Woodward of Orrville nabbed first in the women’s 10K with a completion time of 40:13:10.
