Early morning crash injures two in Putnam County

The Putnam County Sheriff's Office is investigating a
one-car injury accident early this morning that sent two to an area hospital.
According to a news release from the sheriff's office,
the crash occurred around 3:19 a.m. on Road 18-S. The vehicle was traveling
north when the vehicle went off the left side of the road and struck a
guardrail. The vehicle continued north along the road and rolled into a field.
The Fort Jennings Fire Department, Ottoville EMS and
Kalida Heavy Rescue assisted deputies at the scene.
Two people were taken to St. Rita's Medical Center.
Their names and conditions were not being released by the sheriff's office.
No additional information was available from the
sheriff's office. The crash remains under investigation.
