Comments 0 | Recommend 0 A 21-year-old Lima man was killed when he lost control of
his motorcycle Thursday night.
John Bryan, 21, died shortly after 9 p.m. when he
crashed his motorcycle near the intersection of Eastown and Allentown
roads, according to a spokesman for the Lima post of the Ohio State Highway
Patrol.
Bryan was reportedly driving northbound on Eastown Road
with a group of other motorcyclists when he accelerated and lost control while driving at a high rate of speed. He traveld off the right side of the roadway, hit a curb and was thrown from his motorcycle, striking a fence.
Bryan was pronounced dead at the scene by the Allen County coronor.
Bryan was driving a 2007 Honda CBR 600 motorcyle. He was wearing a helmet at the time of the accident, the patrol spokesman said, and alcohol was not believed to be a factor. The crash remains under investigation.
