Burglary suspect faced previous charges

MENDON
The Mercer County Sheriff's Office will file numerous charges against a Mendon man in connection with several business break-ins.
Douglas N. Fonner, 27, of Mendon, was being held in the Mercer County Detention Center on contempt charges for violating a condition of bail in a previous breaking and entering case, Sheriff Jeff Grey said.
Deputies said he was involved in breaking into several businesses in the last several months in Mercer County, including Coldwater Grain North, Mercer Landmark in Chattanooga, Burkettsville Garage and Five Brothers Tavern in Burkettsville
Deputies were forwarding these cases to the Prosecutor's Office for review. They said he was involved in burglaries in other counties including, Darke, Van Wert, Auglaize and Shelby.
