Firefighters handle suspicious fire

LIMA ó Lima Fire Department responded to an early Saturday fire that remained under investigation and appeared to be suspicious, according to the department.



Firefighters responded at 6:39 a.m. to 452 N. West St. and found fire and heavy smoke coming from the entire house, which was not lived in.



Damage is estimated a $48,500, a total loss. The house is owned by Frederick F. Reed and Susan K. Risser, according to the Allen County Auditorís Office.



A neighboring house at 456 N. West St. also sustained $4,000 in damage from the fire.
