VAN WERT - A man was injured in a Van Wert house fire overnight Tuesday.
Van Wert Fire Department responded to the blaze around 12:10 a.m. Wednesday at 220 Kenwick Drive. Firefighters remained on scene for nearly three hours. A firefighter said the one-story family home was “pretty much totaled.”
The firefighter did not yet identify the man who was injured, nor did he say how serious his injuries were.
The fire began near a bedroom; as of now, it’s undetermined how it began.
The home, owned by Kelly Griffith, was valued at $108,060, according to the Van Wert County Auditor's website.
