Memorial Day Parade in Lima seeks entries

LIMA - The Allen County Veterans Councilís Memorial Parade will begin at 10 a.m. May 27 on North Main Street and Robb Avenue.

If you are entering a float to represent the theme, Honoring Our Native American Veterans, you should report to the Northgate parking area no later than 8 a.m. Vehicles and motorcycles should be in place no later than 8:30 a.m. Individuals who are walking, bands and color guards should be in position no later than 9 a.m.

Remember that candy or items are not allowed to be thrown from floats or moving vehicles. Also no political statements may be made, shown or indicated within the Memorial Day Parade. There are prizes for best float.
