Kalida teacher given February trial date

OTTAWA A Kalida schools technology coordinator and coach accused of having sex with a student is scheduled to stand trial Feb. 26.



Jeremy Stober, 42, had a trial date scheduled during a pretrial this week in Putnam County Common Pleas Court. He is charged with sexual battery, attempted sexual battery, importuning, four counts of gross sexual imposition and tampering with evidence.



Stober has pleaded not guilty to all charges.



The crimes took place between 2001 and 2012 involving three girls who have since graduated. The girls were between the ages of 16 and 17 at the time, according to court records.



Stober was placed on paid leave on May 24 after the allegations surfaced. He has since taken an unpaid leave of absence. He began his career with Kalida schools in 1993.
