BLOOMDALE - A Wood County man remains in serious condition at a Toledo hospital after being injured Tuesday afternoon in a motorcycle crash northeast of Findlay.

The Hancock County Sheriff’s Office said Jerry L. Tyson, 56, of Wayne, hit a patch of gravel while rounding a corner on Cass Township Road 267. That caused him to lose control of his 1996 Harley-Davidson motorcycle. Tyson was thrown from the bike as it went into a ditch.

He was not wearing a helmet, according to the sheriff’s office.

Tyson flew to Mercy St. Vincent Medical Center in Toledo in a medical helicopter. A hospital spokeswoman there said Tyson was still listed as serious Thursday morning.

Township Road 267 is just south of Bloomdale.
