LIMA President Barack Obama is scheduled for a campaign stop at Lima Senior High School gymnasium on Friday.

Tickets are free, but they must be reserved to gain entrance to the event, and will be distributed one ticket per person on a first-come, first-served basis.

Tickets can be picked up beginning at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the Obama for America field office in Lima, 226 N. Main St.; Findlay, 1041 N. Main St.; and Wapakoneta, 101 W. Auglaize St.; as well at the Lima Democratic Party Headquarters, 2115 Northwest St.

Doors open at 1:30 p.m. Friday at the school.

Chief Kevin Martin said the Lima Police Department was asked to prepare for the visit.

The schedule is tentative because of Hurricane Sandy affecting campaign schedules this week, Martin said.

Earlier this week, Gov. Mitt Romney canceled a campaign visit to Elida because of the storm. Romney did visit Celina and Findlay on Sunday, which were unexpected visits after the storm required other schedule changes.

Obama suspended personal campaigning for a few days this week, but surrogates such as former President Bill Clinton and Vice President Joe Biden have campaigned in parts of the country not affected by the storm.
