KALIDA — A 60-year old business in Kalida has ceased operations.
Callers to Unverferth Motor Sales in Kalida on Thursday were greeted with a recording saying that all business operations at the dealership have ceased. Customers seeking information regarding sales, warranty or repair questions were directed to call dealerships in Delphos, Lima and Findlay.
“All of us at Unverferth Motor Sales would like to thank all our loyal customers for their continued support during our 60 years in operation,” the person on the recording said.
Unverferth Motor Sales, located at 307 South St, sold new and used Chrysler, Dodge and Jeep vehicles. Virgil Unverferth along with his son’s Randy and Roger were the operators of the business.
A woman answering the telephone at Randy Unverferth’s home said Unverferth had “no comment.”
No further information was available about the closing Thursday and new vehicles were still parked at the business on Thursday.
