Construction on Putnam County Family Care, at Putnam Parkway and state Route 109, is nearing completion. Christine Clymer, director of Lima Memorial Professional Corp., said an open house is planned at the facility for Dec. 11.The new facility will include two parts, two doctor's offices on one side and a lab on the other side.“This is not an emergency room,” Clymer said. “But we will accept walk-ins as well as schedule doctors appointments,” she told members of the Ottawa Kiwanis on Monday. The doctors will help with minor injuries and illnesses, but people with major medical problems will be sent directly to the hospital in Lima. Clymer said the physicians at the new facility will offer extended hours to better serve the area. The hours are 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. weekdays and 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturdays.“This will provide a convenient care that can help keep you out of the emergency room during those off hours,” Clymer said. She also said the Putnam County Family Care facility can serve as the medical home for patients. The two main physicians at Putnam County Family Care will be Dr. Erin Dariano, a Continental High School graduate, and Dr. Jennifer Maag, a Kalida High School graduate. Both family practice doctors are accepting new patients. Orthopedic, ear, nose and throat, and gastrointestinal specialists will also be providing hours at the facility.
