DELPHOS ó Police are asking for the publicís help in finding two men who committed a home-invasion robbery late Wednesday.
The robbery took place at 11:35 p.m. at a home in the 400 block of South Canal Street. Two masked men ransacked two vehicles on the property. They then entered the garage that was converted into a living area, confronting three teenagers inside watching television, according to the Delphos Police Department.
The men demanded money. The victims initially thought the incident was a prank and did not comply with the demands. The robbers became violent and assaulted an 18-year-old man, injuring him, police reported.
After the assault, the two men stole numerous items from the garage and ran away on foot with the stolen property, police reported.
The men did not brandish a weapon during the incident, police reported.
One man is described as white in his mid- to late-20s, about 5 foot 10 inches tall with a stocky or muscular build, about 200 pounds or more in weight. He had tattoos on both arms and short hair, nearly bald, police reported.
The other man is described as white, in his mid- to late-20s, 6 foot tall or taller, slender and weighing about 150 pounds.
