KENTON - An 11-year-old boy was flown to a Columbus hospital after a three vehicle head-on crash on U.S. 68 Wednesday.

The crash occurred near mile marker 13 at 4:16 p.m., when a southbound pick-up truck driven by William Akers, 66, of LaRue, went left of center and struck a northbound car driven by Kendra Vermission, 18, of Dunkirk. The third car, driven by Ned Miller, 59, of Dunkirk, was also traveling northbound and struck Vermission's car from behind.

Vermission’s passenger, Kyle Delong, was taken by MedFlight to Nationwide Children’s Hospital, where his condition was not released. Akers and Miller were taken to Hardin Memorial Hospital. Vermission was taken to Blanchard Valley Hospital.
