Ohio Supreme Court justice to speak at ONU law graduation

ADAOhio Northern University’s Pettit College of Law will celebrate its commencement ceremony at 2 p.m. May 20 in the ONU Sports Center. Ohio Supreme Court Justice Yvette McGee Brown will deliver the commencement address. Brown, who became the first African-American woman to serve as a justice on the Supreme Court of Ohio in 2011, began her career in 1992 when she was the first African-American elected to the Franklin County Court of Common Pleas, Domestic Relations and Juvenile division. The sports center will open at 12:30 p.m. A musical prelude will begin at 1:30 p.m., followed by the procession of faculty and juris doctorate candidates.
