LIMA — A man charged with murder in the slaying of his ex-girlfriend is scheduled to stand trial March 26.
Timothy Brown also had a Jan. 14 pretrial set Wednesday in Allen County Common Pleas Court. Brown, 48, is charged with murder in the Oct. 3 slaying of 32-year-old Valeda Thomas at 218 W. Murphy St. She died from a single gunshot to the head.
Thomas had a protection order against Brown. Investigators said the shooting may have been the result of a domestic dispute.
